Welcome to the 3rd Club Cricket Conference Newsletter of 2016

Welcome Dear Reader to our third Newsletter of the year with, at last, bright sunshine and lots of cricket.

In this issue you have the last opportunity to take part in our survey on the ways in which your club or organisation would spend money on vital resources.  The survey is significant and the results will be published in September.  Don't miss the chance to participate.

An unmissable date for your diary MONDAY 28TH NOVEMBER !  The CCC lunch at Lord's - read all about it.

Phil Walker of All Out Cricket Magazine has published an interesting article on behaviour on the club cricket field and we  are repeating our request for nominations for our Spin competition.

Are you receiving this as an individual rather than as a Club representative? If so see our offer of Associate Membership.

Have a great end to the summer and we hope that your teams get as much out of their cricket as is possible!

The Club Cricket Charity and All Out Cricket have joined forces to produce a survey to establish a set of criteria for awarding grants to recreational cricket clubs and organisations in need of funding for facilities, equipment, services and resources.

Please note that grants will not be awarded on the basis of your answers to the questions within this survey. However, all the data gathered during the survey process will be used to shape the Club Cricket Charity’s funding application process, thereby ensuring that any grants awarded in future will go to the most deserving clubs and organisations.

Thank you for completing this survey. Your feedback is invaluable.

Please note that by completing this survey you are agreeing for your data to be used by the Club Cricket Charity and All Out Cricket. Your details will not be passed on to any third parties.

The link to the survey is here.

The 2016 CCC Annual Lunch

The CCC Annual Lunch is on Monday 28th November, in the Nursery Pavilion at Lord's Cricket Ground. 1.00pm start.  At this moment we do not have the names of the speakers but, as regular attendees will be only too aware, we always manage to get good ones - and this year will be no exception (especially in light of last year!  No, he is not coming back!).

The price has had to go up slightly this year - nothing to do with Brexit, the MCC have increased the cost to us for lunch - so it will be £79 per head, or £725 for a table of 10.  Please contact Stan in the office.

There is a way of reducing the cost on the day.........

CCC Associate Membership

Associate Membership is just £20 per annum (working on 365 days from the date the money is received - Donna will follow up on the anniversary, have no fear of that!).  For that, you will receive a copy of the CCC Yearbook and a £5 discount off the cost of attending the Lunch -  join now and you will get the 2016 Yearbook as well as the 2017 edition together with all manner of wonderful offers and news we will send out from time to time.

All the money raised will go to the CCC to enable us to develop and provide a better service to our member clubs and individuals.

For joining details please download the form using the link below.

Player Behaviour : It's only a game, right?

For AOC editor and club cricketer Phil Walker, it’s been a summer of aggro out on the field. But has he just been unlucky? Or is it a sign of wider behavioural problems afflicting the amateur game?

Can Recreational Cricket come to terms with its growing disciplinary problems? All Out Cricket highlights a growing trend of poor behaviour in the amateur game.  Read the full article here
