Establish Your Legacy at AARLCC

In celebration of the 20th Anniversary, establish your legacy at AARLCC!  The Heritage Village is the area directly at the front entrance of the library/cultural center. It consists of three major zones that pay tribute to the African and African-American fore parents.  This made it possible for people of African origins to settle and prosper in the new world. These areas are the Heritage Wall, the Heritage Landing, and the Heritage Grove.

Located along the Heritage Landing and surrounding the Heritage Grove are 31 balusters. Of these, 26 are available to the public. The balusters will bear a 4x6 inch bronze plaque. On the crown of the baluster, there is an allowance for 4 lines of the donor’s selected inscription.  Balusters $500 To purchase, click here

The Heritage Wall is located at the entrance to the library/cultural center as a part of the Heritage Village. This wall stands as a tribute to the commitment of the past and current bridge builders who have dedicated their time, talents, and treasures. The goals sustained by the forefathers and community, has led us to remember and to continue to tell our story. To purchase, click here

Heritage Landing is an area which includes the steps at the main entrance. A permanent pedestal exists there now. Beginning at the office of Dr. Von D. Mizell, a bronze plaque containing a concise narrative and images that tell the story of how AARLCC came into existence, will be placed on the crown of the pedestal. The donor’s name will be displayed on the plaque and placed at the base of the pedestal. Plaque: $25,000 To purchase, email
