UPDATES: Fire Restrictions in Place in Many Areas

Be sure to check for any restrictions before planning your trip

It is a very hot and dry week on the Front Range and we want to remind you all to check for fire restrictions and burn warnings before you head out for any trips on public lands.

There are currently fire restrictions in place in Boulder, Gilpin, and Clear Creek counties. In addition there are restrictions on the Canyon Lakes Ranger District in both Larimer and Boulder counties- see this information from the Forest Service for more details. These restrictions include bans on target shooting. Please check restriction details for each jurisdiction to understand which activities are not allowed on which lands.

View the graphic below created by the Boulder County Sheriff's Office that outlines restrictions for Boulder County only. Also view a map of all statewide restrictions which is maintained by the State of Colorado DHSEM. Remember that if a Red Flag Warning is issued then all open burning is prohibited.
