Welcome to the latest News from Ngarendare Forest
As you might be aware, there were unrests among the grazers in the forest after their goats were confiscated by Kenya Forest Service. This led to chaos and destruction of property, especially targeting our ecotourism facilities.
Several steps have been taken since last week to de-escalate the tension, bring back peace and security for tourism, wildlife and forest.
A multiagency team led by Sub-County Security Committee is leading the process, meanwhile, it has been agreed that repairs of all facilities destroyed during the chaos be repaired back as soon as possible.
We take this opportunity to assure you that all other operations are going on normally, and we are confident that forest visits by tourists shall be back soonest.
Thank you for your support
