Today is Erie Gives Day!

August 13, 2013 marks the 3rd Erie Gives Day, which was started in 2011 in honor of The Erie Community Foundation's 75th Anniversary.

The Erie Community Foundation will enhance each donor’s gift by providing a prorated match to each gift made to our nonprofit. All donations received on Erie Give Day will support services like our annual delivery of 330 Blizzard Boxes—eight lbs. of emergency shelf-stable food—that help Erie seniors and persons with disabilities get through our tough winter months.
Thank you—your support helps homebound seniors stay where they feel most comfortable—in their own homes.

Go to the Erie Gives website here to make your contribution that will help Erie's hungry seniors and persons with disabilities. Thank you.

This Month's Spotlight Is This Newsletter

Beginning this month we are changing to an email based newsletter for several reasons. First and foremost is that printing a color newsletter is expensive. Second, an email based newsletter allows you to click links to stories and web pages to find out more about Meals On Wheels locally and nationally. Finally, it let you read our newsletter right in your email rather than having to open another document. You get the news you want faster and easier. We hope you like it.

Welcome to...

...our newest volunteer Catherine Dovishak who came to us through our website. She will be partnering with Volunteer Ruth Bownes at GECAC.

Custom Maps

Custom designed driving maps with turn by turn directions are the fastest way around your route. Even someone new to the area can get around their route in the most efficient way. For the details and how to get your own map, call Terry at 452-6930.
