At GG HQ...

We've been watching this year's festival on film, thanks to Manuel Sarna - check it out, can you see anyone you know?

The Raconteurs' Delight

We've been getting fab feedback on GG 2016:

"...fun days and nights filled with great music, tasty food, fab drinks, beautiful people; everyone is so friendly and happy. Wanted to stay forever!"

"...just the right size, I felt happy and free, very reasonably priced nice food and drink, fantastic site - so spacious. Loos clean and plentiful!"

"...simply the BEST festival for wheelchair access and disabled people generally; excellent value..."

" ...stimulating conversations, happy people, lovely interactions, kindness from everyone..."

"...a month later we're still experiencing it's positive impact on our lives...”

The Craft Area

We know the shuttle minibuses experienced some hold-ups this year - partly due to a problem on the woodland track on Thursday, partly because a child of one of the drivers was ill, and partly - hands up - we misjudged demand. If you had a very long wait, we apologise. We'll do our best to fix it next time.

In our feedback survey we asked what else went wrong this year; the most common answer was... "nothing - it was perfect!"

I'm sure we'll find plenty to improve on, but that kind of feedback makes GG HQ happy indeed.

Woodland Treasures

Our food and market stalls were so good this year, it was hard to pick the best for the Green Gathering Ethical Trader Awards.

The Coffee Box

We looked, we tasted, we pored over ethical policies and we mystery shopped. We chose:

Gold Awards:
The Coffee Box  &  Woodland Treasures

Silver Awards:
Voyage Vert
  &  The Woolly Pedlar

Voyage Vert

These fabulous traders provided quality, ethically-sourced products with friendly service from great looking stalls. Chai Shop Organic, Coffee Cranks, Big Fab and Orla Bee were close runners-up!

The Woolly Pedlar

The Mayflower Project recorded live music and original songs created and performed in the Teens Tent on site; have a listen to their soundcloud.

We've a lot of ideas brewing for GG 2017;
news - and a new website - coming soon!

The Green Gathering is a festival and an education,
an interactive showcase of renewable energy and off grid solutions... all powered by wind, sun and people.

The festival is produced by a Community Interest Company, and overseen by the Green Gathering Charity which aims to keep the spirit of the Gatherings true, while educating for sustainability and  empowering us to create a better future. The GG Charity

GG is a festival beyond hedonism, for people who love the earth enough to want to celebrate it, and save it. It's a place to party - then wake up and put the world to rights!

Authentically uncommercial and family friendly, our aim is to turn people on to low impact living.

There's live music, acoustic sessions, poetry slams, comedy, dance, storytelling, interactive art, kids and teens activities, permaculture, traditional healing, ancient wisdom and crafts, campaign stalls, and 100s of practical skillshares geared to sustainable futures.

The Green Gathering has a history entwined with the Green and Peace movements, Glastonbury Festival, Stonehenge and Climate Camp. The original solar-powered festival has been through ups and downs, grown big, been busted, and gone back to its roots...
