FAIR PLAY CODE

The Victorian Government's new Fair Play Code, a code of conduct for sport and recreation, outlines the standards of behaviour expected for everyone involved.  This code will apply from 1st July 2018 and encompasses the five core values that will lead to fair play for all - integrity, respect, responsibility, fairness, safety.  For more information visit our website.
CoRE ALLIANCE - TAKING ACTION!

CoRE (Communities of Respect & Equality) have produced a resource which highlights 5 Essential Action Areas for sporting clubs to consider when preventing violence against women and promoting gender equality.  For more information visit our website.
GRANTS

Sporting Club Grants Program 
These grants assist in the purchase of sports uniforms and equipment, to improve capacity and accessibility and increase skills of people that assist the club.  Applications close Wednesday 27th June.  For more information and to apply visit our website.

Defibrillator Grants 
The Defibrillators for Sporting Clubs and Facilities Program provides Victorian clubs with the opportunity to acquire an automatic external defibrillator (AED).  Closing Wednesday 20th June.  For more information visit our website.

Pick My Project Grants 
Pick My Project is a Victorian first community grants initiative, with $30 million available to fund local projects.  Come up with a project idea, vote for your favourites and make your community a better place to live.  Clubs and associations can apply for funding between $20K - $200K.  Closing Sunday 24th June.  For more information visit our website.
ALL ABILITIES MINIROOS SOCCER REGISTRATIONS OPEN

AAA Sport Ballarat is taking registrations for the upcoming All Abilities MiniRoos season, which starts on Sunday 22nd July.  This soccer program will introduce children with disabilities to the fundamentals of the game in a fun, welcoming and incredibly inclusive environment and is suitable for children aged between 5 - 16 years.  For more information visit our website.
AAA PLAY VIDEO LAUNCH

On Wednesday 30th May the Sports For All Abilities breakfast was held to launch a promotional video about Access All Abilities (AAA) Play.  The breakfast also aimed to create discussion on how sport participation by people with a disability benefits everyone.  For more information visit our website.
RESPONSIBLE SERVING OF ALCOHOL HOSTING AT YOUR CLUB

The winter sports have started - has your club identified a need to have more trained bar staff?  Organise a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course at your club.
