AAA Hookin2Hockey Pilot in Ballarat
Hockey Victoria is committed to extending their program for people with a disability with the introduction of AAA Hookin2Hockey Pilot program in Ballarat at the end of July.  Hookin2Hockey gives participants the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends, all the while beginning their lifelong love of hockey!  The pilot will run for 6 weeks on a Saturday morning alongside the local under 10 competition at the Ballarat Hockey Centre.  Led by coaches who have undertaken Hockey Victoria's Inclusive Coaching Course and with their own firsthand experience, participants will form smaller groups and rotate around five activities.  For more information visit our website.
Daylesford Pride Cup and Luncheon
The Daylesford Football Netball Club (DFNC) in partnership with the Chill Out Festival is proud to be hosting the inaugural Daylesford Pride Cup against Newlyn Football Netball Club on Saturday 13th July at Victoria Park, Daylesford from 2:00pm.

DFNC and Chill Out Festival invite you to join them for the Daylesford Pride Cup Luncheon from 12:00 - 2:00pm, with a two course meal (beer, wine and soft drink included) and featuring key note speakers - Ashleigh Brazill, Cameron Schwab and Lisa Laing.  Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased via the Chill Out Festival website.

 
Spectrum SKILLZ
Southern Cross Martial Arts are new to Ballarat in 2019 but they have made a big impact in the short time they have been open.  In particular their specially designed program for children on the Autism spectrum, Spectrum SKILLZ has been very popular.  For more information visit our website.

MiniRoos is a nine week program aimed at teaching children basic skills involved in the game of soccer in a fun and inclusive environment.  This modified version of the program are held on Sunday mornings and are suitable for children with a disability aged   5-16 years old.  The use of adaptive equipment, creative coaching and one-on-one coaching support ensures that all children are included and involved.  Read more here.
Special Olympics Gymnastics in Ballarat

Special Olympics Ballarat are hosting the Tenpin Bowling Regional Games on Saturday 31st August at Oz Tenpin Ballarat and are looking for volunteers to help out on the day.  For more information visit our website.

2019 Victorian AAA Netball tryouts
Netball Victoria is calling for all eligible athletes to trial for selection in the Victorian All Abilities Netball Team to compete at the 2019 Marie Little OAM Shield in Brisbane, 12-14 October.  Two trial opportunities will be held at the State Netball Hockey Centre on Sunday 30th June and Sunday 7th July.  The 30th June session also runs in parallel with the Australian Netball League Finals and Netball Victoria Talent Academy sessions, if you are interested in coming along early or staying late to watch and support our Victorian Fury or the state's best young talent!
