Mitrem Recruitment
Mitrem Recruitment move into PSP!

Mitrem Recruitment, part of the Talem Recruitment Group, moved onto the park on November 16th. They took over the offices from their sister company Astra who had a satellite office here while they were doing a major recruitment campaign for Wolf Minerals.

Following the completion of this highly successful project the Directors of Talem decided that Mitrem needed to spread its wings and move into their own offices and the logical place to go was PSP.

Mitrem are true commercial recruitment specialists placing candidates on a nationwide basis into HR, Sales, Accountancy/Financial and Legal roles. All our consultants are specialists in their fields.

Claire Douglas also joined the company on the day of the move and she is specialising in Sales, Account Management and Customer Services roles.

Carol McGeary, Director of Talem Group has also moved in with the Mitrem team to help the smooth transition and is really enjoying being on the Park. Carol says “There is a great atmosphere and has been good to get to know the companies based here, we are hoping to assist in their growth by delivering fantastic candidates to fill their vacancies.”

Re:Cognition Health

Re:Cognition Health is delighted to join PSP and looks forward to opening its new Re:Cognition Health – Plymouth Centre in February 2016, under the leadership of Dr Stephen Pearson.

As the acknowledged leading independent provider of cognitive health services in the UK, Re:Cognition will be working with Dr Pearson and his team to change the future for individuals with mild and more marked memory loss and other symptoms of cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's Disease.

With over 70 nationally and internationally recognised cognitive experts, Re:Cognition is one of the world's leading Centres for international clinical trials for AD and is excited to have the opportunity to open a clinic in Plymouth with Dr Pearson and his team who will, focus, initially, on the opportunity to enrol individuals with very mild and more marked symptoms of cognitive impairment to final phase international clinical trials, for new medications to slow down progression of Alzheimer's, and to for provide an opportunity to change the future to one of healthier brains and minds and a world with "Alzheimer's without dementia".


Save Santa Christmas Game
Sponge UK launches ‘best ever’ Christmas game

Award-winning learning provider, Sponge UK is using its expertise in multi-device elearning games to create a fun festive challenge.

Can you Save Santa?
Players take on the role of an elf who must find a way through a frozen underground world, collecting presents, dodging yetis and defeating rocket-powered penguins, before locating Santa and freeing him from the clutches of an evil Jack Frost.

It’s the eighth year Sponge UK has released a complimentary Christmas game instead of sending Christmas cards.

Louise Pasterfield, Sponge’s Managing Director, said: “It’s become a bit of a festive tradition and Save Santa! is our best ever Christmas game.

The Save Santa! game is available via throughout December.

Moortec Semiconductor Announces New PVT Controller - Complete PVT
Sub-System Solution

Moortec Semiconductor Limited, provider of analog and mixed-signal IP solutions, announces its new PVT Controller. The PVT Controller provides a single interface to Moortec’s embedded Process, Voltage and Temperature (PVT) sensing Technology. Real Fusion
A leading Westcountry fire and security company is launching a brand new Wordpress website – with the support of Real Fusion.

LogiScan – based near Wellington in Somerset – has tasked Plymouth’s number one web, design and marketing agency with effectively showcasing its enhanced portfolio of services online.

The web team is currently putting the final touches to the design and build of the site and text is being provided by Real Fusion’s in-house copywriting service.

The new site coincides with LogiScan marking its 20th year of operation and the launch of a bold new business development drive.

Real Fusion already has an established track record in the fire and security sector having worked for a number of years with Securi-Guard, the South West’s largest independent suppliers of fire and security solutions, based in Plymouth.

Christmas Updates

Postage and Parcels.

As Christmas draws near we are seeing the usual big increase in both incoming and outgoing mail.  During these busy times please ensure post is taken to reception by 3:30 (3pm for special deliveries/recorded deliveries), clearly marked with your company name, the service required and all AirMail items clearly separated.

Due to limited storage space we also request that all tenants collect parcels from reception as soon as they are notified and sign for them on collection.
Car Parking Permits 2016

If you’ve not yet collected your parking permits for 2016 please arrange for a nominated person to collect these before the Christmas break to ensure you have your permits ready to display on your return to work in the New Year.  The new permits are valid from 1st January 2016 and the current red permits should be displayed until this time.
Tenant Employee Information Collation

Thank you for all participating in the recent survey of your employees. It has helped ensure that we have an accurate database of your staff details to assist us in case of emergency and to ensure we can celebrate business growth on the Park. Please continue to advise us of any changes to your staff including leavers and joiners by using the ‘Client Form’ available from reception.  All permits and swipe cards must be returned when an employee leaves the PSP site.
Reception Services.

Need something photocopied, faxed, laminated or spiral bound?  Don’t have time?! Don’t forget our Reception Team can assist with your print finishing needs!  We have amended our pricing slightly to give you the option of ‘self-service’ or having one of our team complete the print job for you.  Please contact Reception for a full list of options available, pricing, and required notice periods.
Tenant Survey.

We’d love to hear your views on what you love about PSP and any areas that you feel we could develop.  Please follow the link below (sent via email) to complete the survey before 21st December.  You’ll also be in with a chance of winning a £20 Real Food Kitchen voucher! 
Management Office Christmas Closure - 
Midday 24th December to 8am 4th January

The park will remain open to all tenants over Christmas and New Year, however the management office and reception shall be closed.  There shall  be no post services available or newspaper deliveries during this time, however Security Staff shall be onsite at all times.


Design a Bauble Winner!

And the winner is... (Drumroll...) Stanley, Aged 6 from Fleetwood School! Well done Stanley! We loved your Plymouth inspired Christmas Bauble which looks great & you've won yourself and your school £50 each in Hobbycraft vouchers!

Sponge UK Win at Venus Awards

Huge congratulations to Sponge boss Louise Pasterfield who won the Digital Media and Online Business category at the Devon Venus Awards 2015.

Louise Pasterfield, Managing Director of Sponge UK, based here at Plymouth Science Park, is the winner of the Digital Media and Online Business category at the NatWest Venus Awards in Devon, which have been dubbed the ‘Working Women’s Oscars.’
The Monster PSP Christmas Film & Music Quiz

So popular there are three dates this year!
Wed 16th, Thu 17th, Fri 18th December 2015 12-3pm, Baylis Suite, Plymouth Science Park

Back by semi-popular demand, the awesome PSP Christmas Film & Music Quiz. It is slightly bigger and better than last year and so we are hosting it on three days to cater for demand.  

Teams of up to 8, or (if you are a Billy No Mates) teams made up from individuals and smaller groups. This is a great way to meet and beat your neighbours.  

If you know anything about films and music from the past 40 years then this is for you!  

The quiz is open to all PSP tenants and their friends and suppliers. Mince pies, mulled wine, crackers, stuffing balls etc. will be served.
