We are planning a number of projects this year to advance the cause for refugees.  Please come along to our meeting and join us in our work.

Have you voted?  Support L4R member Sabrin Farooqui for NSW ALP Policy Forum

The ballot for the election for the NSW Policy Forum, closes on the 31 July 2019.

In our last newsletter, we asked that you give Sabrin your number 1 vote.

If you have not already voted, please do not forget to do so.  We are aware that some ALP members (who do not have online facilities with the ALP), are still waiting for their ballot paper to arrive in the mail.  You need to chase this up if by the end of this week, you have not received it.

Sabrin's priorities, via her candidate statement and photo can be accessed at SabrinStatementNSWPolicyForum19

I mentioned last week that since joining Labor for Refugees, Sabrin has been very active and has worked hard in her local migrant community, as well as with L4R. You may therefore be interested to read a recent article in the Aus Bulletin about her work http://ausbulletin.com.au/rohingya-people-in-australian-visa-red-tape-limbo-p394-165.htm?fbclid=IwAR3dExOLgTHXEitJ-zpYfUipFr3y4msH5Ty14ZZwEFTCg2VYBk7YbGK3B_Y

Refugee Rally this Saturday at 2pm at the Sydney Town Hall
