Greetings from my painting studio,
LOST AT SEA, 48" x 32", Convergence Gallery, NM
Much has happened since many of you received my last email. For starters, I have made a decision to leave the River Arts District in Asheville and to have my own painting studio built on my property in Black Mountain, NC where I live. The move will create a whole new environment for me in which to paint while I supply the growing number of galleries representing me across the US. It will also afford me a more quiet place needed to concentrate and work on my Zen inspired nature paintings. The four years spent in the River Arts District  gave me the opportunity to meet some incredible people, some of whom were you. But as my career continues to grow, I feel now is the best time for me to make a commitment to having my own private studio built to my specifications. But don't despair if you were looking forward to dropping in on me in Asheville, especially during those Studio Stroll weekends. I will still be sending out invitations to you during the year for my own yearly studio open house as well as notifications of new work at the studio for sale. My website is also undergoing a complete facelift with many new and innovative features that will make visiting it a more pleasant experience. You can visit it here

And, speaking of the River Arts District Studio Stroll, I will be at that studio for this Fall's event which is scheduled for the weekend of November 9 and 10. Mark your calendar as not only will this be the last studio stroll I will be involved with, but I will be having a fantastic 'moving' sale of all my original paintings at the studio that weekend. All paintings will be marked down by 20% which will mean hundreds of dollars in savings depending on your purchase. I am continuing to work at my Asheville studio until my new studio is completed, so there will be a fine selection of both older works and newer paintings for you to select from.

I am excited to announce that I have signed with Rogoway Turquoise Tortoise Gallery in Tubac, Arizona. They are currently carrying several original paintings and can be visited at

And just this past summer, Convergence Gallery in Santa Fe, NM hosted another solo show of my work. The show included 15 new paintings of which all but three sold in two weeks. They recently received several new paintings from me. Visit them at

I was selected by the Knoxville Museum of Art in Knoxville, TN to be included in their prestigious annual fund raising event called "artscapes2013". The jurying committee visited my studio and was so impressed with my work they selected a painting, allowing me to forego the usual jurying process. I was certainly honored. The exhibition that includes my painting "King Crimson" will be open to the public October 7 - 10 with the gala dinner and live auction scheduled for Friday, October 11. If you live in the area please try to attend this wonderful benefit for the museum.
