OAS and Panama's National Energy Secretariat hold regional technical workshop on sustainable urban development

Energy and climate experts joined policymakers to discuss the impact of energy on expanding urban infrastructure, at a recent event jointly organized by the National Energy Secretariat of Panama and the Department of Sustainable Development of the Organization of American States (OAS).

Program Launched

 
The second phase of the Senior ECPA fellows grant will give Fellows the opportunity to put their work into action through the implementation of two innovation projects. Partners of the Americas announces the second phase of its ECPA Initiative, supported by the US Department of State. The first grant awarded was very successful in the creation of partnerships across the Americas. 



New "Panama Green
Label" to promote

The government of Panama announced the launch of the new "Panama Green Label" to be developed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MICI) and the Union of Industrialists of Panama (SIP) with support and technical assistance from the Department of Sustainable Development of the Organization of American States. 












ECPA Advances Sustainable Energy Capacity Building in the Caribbean

The Department of Sustainable Development (DSD) of the Organization of American States (OAS) launched the Sustainable Energy Capacity Building initiative for the Caribbean. The new ECPA initiative will enable sustainable energy project development and will include an educational program.

Efficiency Working Group to Support Energy Labeling in Eastern Caribbean

Six Caribbean nations are introducing policies to promote the use of energy-efficient products through labels and standards for electrical household appliances and lighting equipment. The ECPA Energy Efficiency Working Group will lend its technical capacity to ensure the continuity of this effort.



OAS and ECPA to Share Sustainable Urban Planning Experiences at the
7th World Urban Forum  
Experienced practitioners from four communities across the Americas will come together to discuss successful strategies and tools to promote the use of clean energy and innovative, practical transportation solutions at this worldwide event.
