We’re looking for writers, art directors, and designers to join our paid summer internship program in Atlanta.

Foreign Correspondent Training Course - Prague, Czech Republic
Whether your dream is to work as a journalist parachuting into foreign lands, or as an activist, advocating for resolutions to global issues, our foreign reporting course will prepare you for whatever lays ahead. Not only will you learn the tips of the trade directly from working foreign correspondents, you will pursue an actual story on the streets of Prague. 

Since 2005 this course has provided hundreds of participants from around the world with the necessary skills to hit the ground running and produce compelling content. Our journalism instruction is an outgrowth of TOL’s years of experience in publishing an online news magazine and working with foreign correspondents worldwide. You’ll meet some of them in the classroom, established journalists working for media such as Reuters, The New York Times, the BBC, and Radio Free Europe. We also plan to host the course at the Reuters office in downtown Prague. The course will be held July 6 - July 21, 2018. Click here for more information.

Spring Intern - PurPics / Charlottesville, VA or Austin, TX 
Founded on the idea "pictures with purpose," PurPics is a platform that allows college consumers to promote the brands they love to benefit the causes they care about. We are looking to hire a spring intern to support our student network management, campaign execution, and marketing efforts. As a small startup team (located in Charlottesville, VA and Austin, TX), you will quickly be an integral part of the team. We are looking for somebody with a go-getter mindset, who is creative and eager to help our business grow. We have a hands-off leadership style and would love a proactive, problem solver to join our team.  The intern will work January 7 - May 31. Hours are flexible, with a 10 hour per week minimum.

Summer Fellows Program - Ketchum / Various Locations
It's almost that time of year! The application process for Ketchum's North America Summer Fellows Program will go live on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 12:01 am EST.

Ketchum's gamified application process gives us a tool to hire candidates based on their potential versus what they have already had the opportunity to do. While past internships are still beneficial, raw talent and creative problem solving skills are essential as well! Applicants will answer fictitious client challenges that will measure their creative, digital, writing and general PR skills. All responses will then be posted and applicants and Ketchummoderators can vote and comment on all posts. Top applicants will be chosen to proceed to the interview stage based on the points they earn.

Spring Internships - 1893 Brand Studio / Chapel Hill, NC
1893 Brand Studio (DTH Media Corp.) is looking for students who are passionate about photo, video, writing, graphic design, web development or marketing to join our Web Design & Development, Multimedia and Campaigns teams. Our team members contribute to 1893Brand Studio’s portfolio of services for local clients, including MidiCi Italian Kitchen, Offline Chapel Hill, The Daily Tar Heel and more. Members of our Multimedia, Web Design & Development and Campaigns teams are responsible for attending weekly team meetings, executing assignments and coordinating with our Campaigns team to execute holistic marketing campaigns.

Students are required to work a minimum of 6 hours weekly in our Franklin Street office. Compensation opportunities are available based on the position, or after one semester of unpaid internship experience.

Editorial Assistant - Sports Business Journal / Charlotte, NC
The Editorial Assistant will work closely with the TV department researching recorded TV, podcasts and radio to find relevant items for the SBD publications. They will transcribe these clips without errors in the quotes to ensure the speaker is quoted accurately. The role also includes searching newspaper and other relevant web sites for content to print, proofing/copy editing content before publishing onto the site and writing stories for Morning Buzz and THE DAILY not necessarily related to television. These are the main functions but the opportunity for original reporting and/or interviewing are available as well as writing stories for Morning Buzz, THE DAILY and Closing Bell. The Editorial Assistant will work Sun 9am-3pm; Mon-Thurs 6am-11am (29 hours per week). Pay is $10/hour.
