Summer Progress

This summer my schedule is more flexible than it was during the school year.  So, when I asked the Lord if He had any “summer assignments” for me, I felt He gave me two specifics.  One was to become a much more active “blogger” and the other was to give myself to prayer.  Progress is being made on Tychicus, (the name of my blog).  There is more to “him” this month than last month.  I encourage you to consider subscribing to it.  My posts will not be long.  In fact, here is one about progress on my other assignment:  giving myself to prayer.

Intercessors Note

Last month I asked you to prayer for Marilyn and me as we took a couple weeks away to vacation at our “property.”  We purchased this property near Gig Harbor (where I pastored prior to my time at IRM) 30 years ago. We really enjoy the “half-camping/half-RV-ing” experience it brings.  Thank you for your prayers.  These days away were just what we needed.  Please read a bit more about a couple aspects of it here and here.

Much of my focus in July and August will be to interact with other prayer leaders in Clark County as we seek to continue to build Clark County Prayer Connect.  Please pray we would be able to find, unite, encourage, and equip more Congregational Prayer Coordinators here in our county.

The 6:4 Fellowship is a pastor-to-pastor com- munity that exists to encourage, equip and connect pastors toward the priorities of prayer and the ministry of the Word. Every pastor could benefit by being a part of this ministry.

Great encouragement in a great direction!

We truly appreciate knowing that you are praying. If you have time,  click here when you have taken these requests before the throne. This will take you to a page where you can let us know you are partnering with us so we can thank you personally.

Thanks again for your heart for Jesus and us!

Dennis

We look upon prayer as a means of getting things for ourselves; The Bible idea of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself.
