Lon Allison, an evangelist at congregational,
denominational, and national levels, is radically convinced everyone can impact their world through a "witness--life" of "cooperating with God and others to lovingly bring people, one step at a time, closer to Christ."
Every church, every city impact endeavor, every Gospel movement, has the same task: mobilizing myriads of intentionally-outward-focused Jesus followers. Lon unpacks, from his soon-to-be-published book (im)POSSIBLE, how we can assist those we serve to discover the joy of a prayer, care, share life.

"The Doorway of Humility" at
The Church of the Nativity
One of the values of being in the Holy Lands is the opportunity to experience, rather than just think about, certain events. The doorway into the “Church of the Nativity” is one example.
If you look closely at this picture, you will see 4 doors. 1) The obvious doorway that is about 4 feet high. 2) The rectangle that includes that doorway but extends a couple rows of rock above it. 3) The archway reaching from ground level to about halfway up the picture. 4) The large rectangle beginning at the top of the picture. As years have passed, the doorway has become smaller and smaller.
This doorway is called the “Doorway of Humility.” When Jesus came to earth as a child, Philippians 2 says He humbled Himself. Now, whoever enters this place must also do the same.
Last month, I “humbled myself” as I walked through this doorway to see the place of Jesus’ birth.
Would you pray that this Christmas season humility would flow through the Body of Christ in many ways so we can see more unity, health, and impact upon a community?
Thank you for your relationship with us as we seek to see this vision spread.
