App of the week

Periscope by Twitter

If you have not heard of Periscope, this app is simply a live video feed with social interaction built on top. The more people watching and give you hearts, the higher your hearts grow.

Periscope is very new and came shortly off the back of Meerkat, the app that took over the SXSW event earlier in March. However, Meerkat used black hat marketing techniques abusing the rights of Twitter users and Twitter shortly banned the app.

Born was Periscope. Well not quite. Twitter bought Periscope back in January and the launch of Meerkat forced Twitters hand to release Periscope.
