A closer look at the environmental issues in urban and rural India

Students from Centre for Area and Culture Studies, EPFL are visiting India as part of their summer school program. The visit is aimed at connecting with Indian partners from similar field of work. On 18 August, swissnex India will host a talk by experts and a panel discussion on the topic of 'Environmental issues in urban and rural India', exclusively for the student delegation.
Swiss Agronomy students to explore India
27 August 2014, Bangalore

On 27th August, the Swiss student delegation from the School of Horticulture, Engineering and Architecture, HES Geneva will be visiting swissnex India. 

The delegation consists of bachelor level agronomy students who will explore India for a 15-day study trip. swissnex India Academic Relations team will share insights on the development realities and priorities in agriculture, in India. 
Indo-Swiss Workshop on Art Conservation
19 August - 23 August 2014, New Delhi
 
The Embassy of Switzerland in India, swissnex India and INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) Conservation Institute are organizing a workshop on art conservation, with the participation of experts from the Bern University of the Arts and the Kunstmuseum Basel (Fine Art Museum, Basel). The workshop aims at presenting the conservation methods and concepts developed in Switzerland and their potential application in Indian conservation practice. It will also promote cooperation between Indian and Swiss conservators in the broad area of research on art conservation.
Recycling Yantra: Turning e-waste into art!
03 September - 07 September 2014, swissnex India, Bangalore
 
In collaboration with the Swiss artist Raphael Perret, swissnex India will host an exhibition on e-waste recycling by Indian informal sector. Raphael Perret will present a series of video statements with room installations called Recycling Yantra along with photo reports. The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 3rd to 7th September and a panel discussion will be held on 3rd September at 6:00 pm at swissnex India.
