- Our Warmest Winter Greetings -
Baby, it's cold out there!
So we are taking special care to share our warmest welcome with those at our doors every day. And while the holidays can be a very difficult time for many of our guests who may be disconnected from loved ones, we do our very best to ensure that everyone receives plenty of hot coffee, a nutritious and filling meal, warm clothing, and the hygiene and sleep essentials necessary to stay healthy against the chill. Above all else, this is a season to emphasize those ideals at the heart of our mission: the Hospitality, Healing and Hope that all deserve throughout the holidays and the coming year.
Want to join us is creating some holiday cheer? Be sure to check out the various ways that you can give back to our community in the 2013 Advent Giving section below. And mark your calendars to join us this Friday, December 13th, from 9am-12pm, for our Annual Christmas Party
to celebrate the Advent season with our guests, community members, parishioners, volunteers & supporters. All are welcome to stop by, grab a slice of pizza, and enjoy some carols and warm fellowship.
And finally, we take a special moment this month to reflect on the year. 2013 certainly has been a year filled with change - with some new challenges to overcome and also great successes to celebrate... and plenty of renovation dust to boot! In that vein, we bid farewell to Pastoral Associate & Program Director, Jeremy Marks
, who will be moving onto new opportunities in 2014. While his steady presence will certainly be missed, we wish him the very best on his next adventures. Take a moment to read his personal reflection below and if you're in the area, please feel free to drop in to wish him well.
We look forward to celebrating and sharing with you all this Advent season. Stay healthy, stay warm, and stay hopeful!
