Alternative Comics Announces Three Issue Sugar Booger Series by Kevin Scalzo

Cupertino, California; October 16, 2012: Kevin Scalzo's Sugar Booger has appeared in many forms over the past decade -- in several anthologies and in self-published pamphlets of all sizes and formats -- usually in short circulation. The shape shifting blue bear with the sweet, edible snot will now be getting a proper series, available to the masses. Starting in December, Alternative Comics will publish the first of three issues of a deluxe, remastered Sugar Booger. Each comic will be printed in full color on glossy paper. The new editions have been sanitized with sugar and snot to guarantee both complete kid-friendliness and total grossness.

Sugar Booger #1 will be available in December, 2013. The comic collects the original - rarely seen - Sugar Booger mini comic and 2001's color Sugar Booger mini comic. Both have been newly (re)colored by the artist to guarantee maximum eye-bleeding saccharine joy. Issues two and three will follow in March and June, 2014, with expanded contents and bonus features not available in the original, extremely limited run of self-published comics. A hardcover collection of the complete Sugar Booger, with many additional strips, features and bonus contributors not included in the series will be announced later in 2014.

Sugar Booger One is listed in the October Diamond Previews, and is Certified Cool!.  Diamond Code: STK625921
