Youth Mission Trip 2019
T-Shirt Design Contest!

QUICK!  Submit your T-shirt design for this year's mission trip
by NOON on Sunday, June 23!

Our theme:
Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly

Our theme verse: Micah 6:8 (NIV)
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

The design can be all digital, hand drawn, or a combination.  For it to work well on the shirts, the design should use bold lines (think Sharpie) and not rely on a lot of detail.
We have the front and back of the shirt to work with.
Your design should include:
1) "Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly" (our theme)
2) "Micah 6:8" (our theme verse)
3) "Ironton, Ohio"
4) "Youth Mission Trip 2019"
5) COTS Youth logo

Note: In the past, "Ironton, Ohio", "Youth Mission Trip 2019", and the COTS Youth logo have been printed on the back, but you can decide where you would like it.  If it's on the back, it doesn't need to be on the front, and vice versa.

Something to Think About....

Is your driveway made of asphalt or concrete?  Every year or two, those with asphalt driveways need to put down another layer of tar sealant. You can hire it out or do it yourself.  I think it's kind of fun (every once in a while).  I've got a friend who finished doing his driveway, then before it could dry, watched the rain roll in and wash all his work away.  BUMMER.

Make no mistake, God is not mocked. A person will harvest what they plant. Those who plant only for their own benefit will harvest devastation from their selfishness, but those who plant for the benefit of the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit. Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up. So then, let’s work for the good of all whenever we have an opportunity, and especially for those in the household of faith.
--- Galatians 6:7-10 (CEB)

Sometimes I work on some project, or build a relationship with someone, and the rain rolls in and washes it all away.  It can be discouraging.  But I find both guidance and peace in this passage.

Take a minute to talk with God about what you're focusing on - where are you placing your thoughts and efforts and who is it for?  What difference would it make to you if you KNEW that the good you do for others would bear good fruit?  Take heart - God is not mocked - your efforts WILL bear fruit.
