At COTS Youth we aim to be real in our faith, have fun, & meet each person where they are.
Every youth can belong.

Rudy Update

Thank you to everyone who signed Rudy's poster and donated to the Lego Store gift card fund! (Let Curt know if you'd still like to contribute.)

What can we do now?  We can pray!
Rudy's surgery has been pushed back to Feb 16, and the prayer vigil has been updated.  There are still some openings left that we'd love to fill.  Will you join us in praying?
Sign up to pray here*
* You can still pray even if you don't sign up for a specific time.

Here are some ideas on what to be praying about...
  • That everything that needs to be removed internally would be done successfully
  • For Rudy's strength and well-being during this incredibly long surgery
  • For smooth healing and recovery
  • For clarity, focus, and wisdom for all attending to/caring for Rudy
  • For peace, comfort, and hope for Christian and Emily, as well as his sister, Clara

Something to Think About...

Ever seen a $1 bill?  I bet so. What's it look like?  Green.  Has a pic of George Washington.  Says "One Dollar".  But have you ever REALLY looked at it?  It's all those things, but there's also a little spider in the corner.  And the paper (which isn't paper, but a mix of cotton and linen) has red and blue flecks in it.  A star after the serial number indicates it's a replacement.  The ink is a different color on the front and back.  Sometimes you have to really look to know something.  Or someone.

Jesus looked at him carefully and loved him.
--- Mark 10:21a (CEB)

We see so many people.  Maybe in person, maybe not, but we see them.  How many of them do you REALLY see, though?  To see them so well that you wonder about who they are and what their stories are?  Jesus looked carefully at a young man who was asking him a question.  And he loved him.  Take a minute to talk with God about who you see each day.  Do you care about them?  Do you love them?  Sometimes a first step can be simply to get to know them.
