At COTS Youth we aim to be real in our faith, have fun, & meet each person where they are.
Every youth can belong.

Tubing at Brandywine!

   When:   THIS Friday, Feb 15, 7:00 - 10:45 pm.

What:     Brandywine has great tubing.  The weather looks outstanding.  Bring your friends!

Where:   Meet and pick up in the Jr Youth Room 097 (down the stairs just inside the car port entrance of the church).  We will drive to Brandywine Ski Resort at 1146 W Highland Rd, Sagamore Hills, OH 44067.

On Youth Sunday, our youth lead worship - at all three worship services.

Our main message: Don't underestimate God!  We can change the world.
Our main scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12

We have our readers and speakers and singers and hymn selectors and prayers and ushers and more.
Youth Sunday is March 3!

Rehearsal will be Sunday, Feb 24 at 12:15 pm with lunch.

What's Coming Up?

Variable Volleyball!

Friday, Feb 22, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Volleyball can be a tough sport.  Not the ways we play it!  Bring a friend.  It's fun all the different ways we can play. We might even play "blind" - with a giant tarp blocking the net.

Something to Think About....

I think downhill skiing is super fun.  I haven't done it in forever, though.  In college I went with a friend, Tim, who could crush moguls.  I wanted to be like him on the moguls.  So I tried.  It was usually disastrous and never pretty, but seeing Tim made me keep trying.  I think other things work the same way.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Instead, set an example for the believers through your speech, behavior, love, faith, and by being sexually pure
--- 1 Timothy 4:12 (CEB)

Timothy (not my friend, but the Bible Timothy) was getting some encouragement from his mentor, Paul.  But he was guiding him in how to live life, because it would impact others.

Take a minute to talk with God about what impact YOU might have on your friends if you were full-time setting a great example in the way you…
  • talked
  • and acted
  • and cared for people
  • and trusted in God
  • and thought about people you were attracted to?
What would it take for you to get there?  What difference might it make in the world if ALL Christians lived that way - even for a few days?
