At COTS Youth we aim to be real in our faith, have fun, & meet each person where they are.
Every youth can belong.

God is working through you!

"Everyone Bring $1" bought 6 frozen turkeys for families in need!

And 24 youth & adults raked 9 yards!

The homeowners are SO, SO grateful. One neighbor was so moved by your act of love that she gave us all the money she had on hand, then went to the bank to get more. (We used some to pay for Mama Santa's, the rest we will put towards the mission trip.)  Praise God!

Something to Think About...

Justice.  It's only 7 letters, but it's a BIG word with lots of different emotions behind it.  For some it means payback.  For others, getting what they deserve.  Or getting what you deserve. Or making things right.  Correcting wrongs.  Uplifting the downtrodden. It's often tied to legal issues.  And civil rights.  So does this fit with Joy and Christmas and Advent?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
---Micah 6:8 (NIV)

Can we act justly AND be filled with the Joy of Christ - be the light of the world?  Seems like when it comes to issues of justice, often our brows are furrowed in anger.  And for good reason - being with people we care about who are in a place of injustice can make us angry.  Is it even possible to desire better for one person without thinking ill of who's responsible for the injustice?  Can God work in our hearts in such a way that our brows are furrowed in determination AND our hearts filled with hope?

Take a minute to talk with God about how you feel when you witness or experience injustice.  Ask for your eyes to be opened to injustice if you don't see it.  How might God work through you to inject some hope or joy or understanding or care into the situation?
