Makerz' Newsflash
January / February 2018

Winter Wondertown

It's a Shop! It's a Lab! It's a Space! It's Makerwiz!

Welcome to our first newsletter of 2018. In the past month and a half, the Makerwiz crew has been busy setting up our new 3DTech Shop / DigiFab Lab / STEAM3D (i.e., Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, Math Education) Space right on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill. The good news is: we are almost ready for visits!

Looking back, we moved to our new location at 10909 Yonge Street on December 1, 2017. We celebrated our 3rd birthday on December 18. On New Year's Day 2018, we visited the newly renovated Canadian Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa and were thoroughly impressed by their 3D printed body part models.  On January 9-12, we were closely monitoring news from CES 2018 to anticipate for you the best 3D tech products in the coming year. For details on
upcoming events, check out the Current Events section at the bottom of this newsflash as well as our website.

Open House and Day Camps

Every Saturday in February, makers, parents, clients and collaborators are invited to Open House at our new facility. If you are interested in visiting us to find out more about our membership and programs, please register for a relevant session.

In addition to the Open House sessions, we will begin hosting PA Day Camps and March Break Day Camps for YRDSB, YCDSB, TDSB and TCDSB students from Grade 5 to Grade 12.
