Our End of Year Concert is December 12!

Something's coming, something good.

It's something we heard people ask for a lot this year: a real, legit Awesöme Orchestra concert. So we're doing it! It's going to be big, and it's going to be cool.

We picked out the pieces we had the most fun playing throughout the year, and we're playing as many of them as we can.

The concert will be a pay-what-you-will benefit for Awesöme Orchestra, and we're asking musicians to volunteer. You'll hear more about the fundraising side of this soon, but it will actually be really fun.

This is not a normal open session, and we’re not doing the normal signup. There will be rehearsals! If you’re interested in playing, email your section's Awesöme Ambassador, who will help assign parts as available.

We want as many musicians to play as possible. But especially in some of the smaller (and louder) sections, seating will limited, and at the discretion of the ambassadors. There are two required rehearsals, both at American Steel, each for a different set of pieces. Depending on what you play, you may only need to go to one of the rehearsals.

If you're not able to play (or don't want to) I hope you'll come enjoy the concert anyway, and bring friends! We want to have everyone there to celebrate a great year.

Brass, winds, and percussion must sign up by midnight, Sunday 15! Seriously. We are also  requesting strings sign up by the 19th so we can give them a head count.

The program includes three pieces by local composers: Joowan Kim, David Jenkins, and John Adams! Full information can be found on the sign-up form.
Invite some friends with our Facebook event. This is an Eventbrite RSVP for audience, as seating will be limited. Musicians who sign up to play do NOT need to RSVP on Eventbrite, but your guests do!

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get a drinks permit this time around. But let's go out for a drink after! Bartlett Hall?
