The Battle Is the Lord’s
FROM DEVOTIONAL “WHERE PEACEFUL WATERS FLOW”
2 Chronicles 20:15 Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
2 Chronicles 20:17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you; fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
What a blessed word to start us on our “SPIRITUAL JERICHO MARCH”. As we go into battle, let us recognize that the victory has already been won by Christ Jesus. Let us go into this battle with praise and thanksgiving for what the Lord has already done for us, in us, through us and around us! WE GIVE HIM PRAISE THIS DAY!!! GLORY HALLELUJAH!!
Listen to His Word:
You know this is too much for you to bear, give it to Me. I never intended for you to do this alone. Have you no need of Me anymore? I AM still here to carry the load. Release it before it destroys you. That is exactly what it will do if you don’t let it go.
Why are you so troubled? There you go again, didn’t we have this talk last night? Yes, we did right before you went to sleep. What has caused you to bring it up again? You said that you would trust Me to bring you through this. Why do you say you will leave it at the altar if you don’t mean it? Please don’t hinder My work, I am working it out.
Oh what peace you give up every day, when all you have to do is bring all of your burdens to Me in prayer. Let Me remind you once again, bring your burdens to Me, and leave them there.
My Prayer Confession
Heavenly Father, So many times I go to You in prayer for help. I cry out from the depths of my soul for Your mercy, and You step in and give me a word of comfort to let me know You heard my prayers. Then Lord, at the first sign of conflict I take my burdens back and try to fix it myself. When all I need to do is trust and believe You are working things out for me.
