It's Official! Brad's in the band!  Our good friend Brad Bauman,  who just so happens to be a very talented harmonica player, has been joining us at gigs since last year. We love his sound (and him) so much that we asked him to join Gibson Wilbanks.

Please join us in welcoming Brad to the GW family! (Click here for his bio.)

Did you know that Carly teaches guitar lessons?

What's new with us?
Well, we've been really freakin' busy!
Here's a taste of what we've been up to:

  • We (Carly and BJ) attended our first SERFA conference this May.  SERFA stands for South East Regional Folk Alliance, and is designed to facilitate networking between artists, venues, promoters and other industry professionals. It was a fantastic experience! Thank you to Caroline Aiken for hosting us in her Aiken's Shakin' Showcase all three days. We made great new friends and are working on 2014 tour dates.
  • Our debut Gibson Wilbanks album in the works! We've been busy working to record our first album together.  It will contain at least 8 of our original songs; we can't wait to offer this to you! We'll soon be letting you know how you can help facilitate this process, so be sure to read your newsletters and keep in touch with us via Facebook and Twitter.
  • BJ Wilbanks is recording his solo album at Real 2 Reel Studios with Jonathan Beckner as engineer.  It is expected to release in the spring of 2014. Wooooo!
We were so honored to have the Rev. Jeff Mosier (The Mosier Brothers, Blueground Undergrass) sit in with us during one of our guerilla showcases at SERFA this year. We thought you'd enjoy a taste of how that experience went:

Click here to view a home video of us performing I Don't Think About It together. Jeff is a great guy, and one heck of a banjo player! We can't wait to play with him again.
