Life getting better one day at a time...

Hello World!

I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend.   I wanted to give you a quick update on my life!   Yes..."life"...what a great word!

I have had quite the journey since being rescued on the brink of death on April 9th.  Those of you following my story know that with my serious medical condition, my odds of survival at time of rescue were pretty slim.  The cruelty that my little body endured was almost too much to bear.  I was about to give up, but then along came Red Collar Rescue and all of you wonderful people who so lovingly sent prayers and notes of encouragement and donations for my medical care.

On May 14, after 37 days in Critical Care, I was finally able to walk out of the hospital and go to a fantastic foster home.   I had no idea how wonderful it could be to live in a home with a soft bed to lie in, toys to play with, nutritious food to eat, and lots and lots of is pure bliss!   The memories of the past are starting to fade, and I only look forward to great things in my future.
My colon surgery was a success.  Now the plan is for me to gain weight and get a little stronger, and then visit the orthopedic surgeon to see about the best plan for my fractured pelvis and hips.

I would never have made it this far, if it would not have been for all of your support!
As you can imagine, my medical bills have been tremendous and are far from finished.   Donations can be made at
or on our website at donations.html
or by mailing a check to Red Collar Rescue, 945 McKinney Street #424, Houston, TX  77002.

Till later my friends....

Lots of Love,

I have been a very lucky boy so far.  My foster mom says that I am so very sweet, smart and funny!  I deserve a good life, and I am so thankful for all the people who are cheering me on!
