What a summer!
Hello and Welcome . . .
to our Summer!
And what a summer it is promising to be. I waiting to see how long before I start hearing about how much we need it to rain!
Even though it is summer and everyone is busy enjoying the lovely weather and waging all out war on weeds (why do these seem to grow so much faster than my flowers and veggies?), lots is happening with the Council.
The Bulletin:
The July/August issue is out and has been sent out. If you did not get your copy, you can download it from our website
here. Many thanks again to Beth MacLaren for stepping in to edit this issue.
Fall Meeting:
The details for the 2015 Fall meeting are very close to being finalized and the registration forms and agenda will be available on the website on August 15, and will be included in the September/October issue of The Bulletin.
We have a great line up of speakers and can promise another very interesting meeting.
Club Events Listings:
It is gratifying to see how many clubs are taking advantage of the Events Listing feature on our website. Clubs can now go online and enter the details for their events and see it posted immediately. Once nice feature of the listing setup is the Google map that can be accessed showing where the event is being held.
Website:
There are a few more features we are planning for the website and we hope you will take time to check out the website and let us have your feedback.
We have a surprise event coming up which we hope everyone will be able to participate in. Details will be forthcoming as soon as we have them figured out. Hint: follow us on Facebook to be the first to get the details.
NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE:
We will be having elections at the March 2016 AGM for the positions of First Vice-President, Treasurer, Bulletin Editor and Scholarship - but before then we need a committee of at least two volunteers. Details about the positions are given in more detail in the Bulletin, and on the website on the Executive Board tab
here. If you're interested in helping out, please email
President@bcgardenclubs.com.
