We are 'The Living Coast'!

Dear <<Name>>

Exciting news Friends!
Our Biosphere is now being promoted far and wide as 'The Living Coast' (TLC) -
the place where people and nature come together in our world-class environment!

We launched our fresh new identity - see above - at an event held at Brighton Museum, in which one hundred guests helped us to mark the occasion by making pledges to take actions that make a positive difference for our people and environment. Read all about it in this month's Bio Blog (below right), and find out the story too behind the attractive new look.

We're excited to be unveiling the new identity just as the spring bursts in to life and people start venturing outdoors again and coming down to visit. Take a look at our monthly Nature Now diary for what's up in the natural world.

And if you need inspiration on places to go, within and close to the city, then check out some of our top spots listed in the 'WoW' section (below left).

The local eco-events spring season  is hotting up too, just in time for the school Easter holidays - see our Calendar (summary list, left) for great activities to get involved in. A particular mention goes to the great cycling and walking charity challenges led by Brighton & Hove's Mayor after Easter - sign up now to grab your place, have a great adventure and raise valuable funds for local good causes.

The Living Coast
comes alive!

The Brighton & Lewes Downs UNESCO World Biosphere Region has just unveiled a new identity for our area as ‘The Living Coast’ – billed as the place where people and nature come together in our world-class environment.
The Living Coast (‘TLC’) aims to engage many more residents, organisations and visitors in enjoying and improving our special environment of Downs, Towns and Coast - the three elements of the new identity.

An attractive new website showcases the special qualities of The Living Coast and ways for people to get actively involved by giving their ‘TLC’ …
