The Italian Water Ice Factory Texas

Established in 1999. The Factory’s Water Ice is made with real fruits and fruit puree with bits and pieces of fruit added. Bursting with great flavor from the 1ST spoon to last drop, it’s the coolest and most refreshing treat to come west of the Delaware river. When maintained at the right temperature Water Ice keeps it’s soft, smooth consistency. So when the ol’ mercury starts to rise, TWIF’s Italian Water Ice is the best cold treat you can have. THE FACTORY uses filtered water, is 100% all natural, no sodium, no cholesterol, and no fat. I guarantee that shaved ice or cold taste treats that lose their flavor before you finish will be a thing of the past. TWIF’S Gourmet Water Ice will leave you smiling. If you want a good healthy treat for you and your family, THE WATER ICE FACTORY can fill the bill. Factory Italian Water Ice has been sold at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey as well as in the Locker Room of the World Champion Houston Rockets and the WNBA World Champion Houston Comets.

Now severing the Houston and surrounding areas The THE WATER ICE FACTORY sign means great taste and great service. You can find us at:

Food at the Market

Sweets by Susan

Is Saturday your free day?  Delicious homemade delights by Chef Susan.  Breakfast tacos, cinnamon rolls, and various cakes and cookies.  While you are there, check out her take home items like fresh baked pies and perfectly seasoned soups.
Guest Musician:

Leslie Krafka

It was destiny when Leslie Krafka attended her first songwriter’s workshop. Hosted by Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines. “That weekend was one of those moments,” Leslie recalls, “when you say ‘yes’ and it changes your whole life.” And change it did. She was named Songwriter of the Year by the Houston Songwriter’s Association, as well as Song of the Year honors with Wandering Troubadour to boot. Her lyrics reflect the maturity of life’s experience, but retain the zeal of one who’s young at heart.

Recipe of the Week

Sausage Basil Stuffed Jalapenos
Ingredients:
  • 15 medium sized jalapeno peppers (use our pepper picker to pick the perfect sized peppers every time)
  • 1/2 lb. breakfast sausage - cooked & crumbled
  • 8 oz. Chive & Onion cream cheese
  • 2 tsp. fresh chopped basil or 1 tsp dried
Directions:
Cut the tops off the jalapenos and clean out the seeds and veins (our coring tool is very helpful to do this task). Drain grease from sausage and while still warm, combine remaining ingredients (should be smooth and creamy).  Place mixture into 1 quart storage (Ziploc) bag and cut the corner to create a piping bag. Pipe stuffing into the cored peppers filling them to the top. Bake at 350º for 15-25 minutes (the longer the pepper is cooked, the sweeter and less hot it will become).  Can also be cooked on your grill.
