Membership Renewal Reminder

It's that time of year again--time to renew your membership to the Society for Art of the Imagination! If you still need to renew your membership, please contact France Garrido (francegarrido@me.com) and she will provide you with the membership form and payment information. We value having you as a member of the society and hope you'll join us for another awesome year!

Chimeria 2018

Chimeria is Europe’s biggest bienalle for Ilmaginary-Visionary Arts and is held in Sedan France. The show held its 12^th edition this October and hosted around 200 - 250 International artists.

This year Dreams & Divinities was the guest of Honor. Our group was divided between the Fortified Castle and the Cities Conference Hall. We were thirty-five artists:

We shared the stage with many fine artists including an absolutely awesome group of Peruvian painters lead by painter Jheferson Valera!

Celebrating the connection between the Society for the Art of Imagination and the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, together we are sharing art and building art community to help uplift the potential of an artful humanity.

The Love edition of CoSM Journal of Visionary Culture was recently released! Brilliant minds and devotional creatives contributed their wisdom and ability on every page. www.cosm.org/journal-volume/love/

The theme of the upcoming CoSM Journal #11 is ENTHEON, the Sanctuary of Visionary Art at CoSM, opening in 2019. This upcoming CoSM Journal will feature iconic Visionary artworks to be celebrated in the inaugural exhibition at Entheon and include the CoSM collection of paintings and sculpture, including the Sacred Mirrors and other best-loved works by Alex Grey & Allyson Grey. Sharing leading examples of art and wisdom admired by the global Love Tribe, this souvenir edition will offer a keepsake for many visitors to Entheon, opening in 2019. The Winter Trimester

During the First Half of the Winter (January 7th - February 8th 2019), Ihti Anderson will give you the keys to express your inner sacred world.Combining a variety of media ~ from Fluorescent Acrylics, Airbrushing & Digital Art to Oils on Canvas ~ you will learn how to see volumes & perspective, heights & depths, and even the rules of Beauty & Perfection.

During the Second Half of the Winter, (February 18th - March 22nd 2019), Laurence Caruana will explore The Alchemy of Traditional Painting Methods like Oil & Egg Tempera combined in the Mischtechnik, to help you pursue Sacred Codes of the painter’s craft ~ armature, geometry & harmonic design ~ from a variety of traditions.

Tuition for the whole trimester with both teachers is €3300
Tuition for 5 weeks with a single teacher is €2000

The Spring Trimester

During the First Half of the Spring, Amanda Sage (Apr 8th – May 10th) will guide you on an adventurous journey into refining technical skill & personal vision, while learning about materials & methods of traditional painting in acrylic, casein, oil & egg tempera. A life changing experience awaits as you learn to let go & listen to your heArt ~ trusting in the process of image creation.

During the Second Half of the Spring, Kuba Ambrose (May 20th – June 21st) will pursue Symbolism both in your art & your life to create an oil & egg tempera painting in the Mischtechnik on a wooden panel. We will look into the origins of vision & inspiration to give birth to an imaginative work of art that explores all aspects of colour harmony, tone, proportion and traditional artist’s materials.

In the cosy & creative atmosphere of a hilltop eco-village, you will develop two original works under the expert guidance of experienced artists.

The Seminar offers 3 weeks of intensive teaching with a trinity of teachers.Daniel Mirante will introduce various approaches to the Mischtechnik whileOlga Klimova and Kevin Campeau will offer different layered techniques that move from random patterns in acrylics to refinement of the figure in oils.
