Competition entry with Snøhetta + DPA
     Many engineers shy away from competitions; we see the great value they bring to our practice and our profession.
 
     It’s not just about winning them, although that helps! Taking part is important to us because it increases our knowledge and understanding and allows us to be true innovators.
 
     Competitions enable us to work in close collaboration with leading architects across the world intensively over a relatively short period – to help enhance and realise their design concepts and to anchor them into engineering reality.

Putting MediaCorp in the picture
Mediapolis with DP Architects + Maki and Associates
     A stunning state-of-the-art broadcasting centre in Singapore began life as a competition entry from a talented international team of innovators including Web Structures.
 
     The practice collaborated with two leading architecture practices – DP Architects and Maki and Associates – on the design and concept of the ‘broadcasting campus’ for media giant MediaCorp.

Airport control tower concept takes off
Competition entry for Dunhua tower in Taipei, Taiwan
     The team at Web Structures worked with major international architects Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners (RSH+P) to deliver a striking, thought-provoking concept for a modern airport control tower.
 
     Web Structures was part of the team that submitted an entry for the competition to develop the tower at Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan.
 
     The result was this stunning tripod structure. Web Structures’ London office produced a concept report and carried out structural studies into the design produced by London-based RSH+P.
