BBRF Round 6 Now Open
Closing 10 February 2022
The Australian Government has announced $250 million in the 2021-22 Budget towards a sixth round of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) as part of the commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.

Grant funding is available through two funding streams:
  • The Infrastructure Projects Stream: Supports projects that involve construction of new infrastructure, or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure.
  • The Community Investments Stream: Funds community development activities including, but not limited to, new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, leadership and capability building activities.

Regional Wellbeing survey 2021. By participating, you help make a difference to communities across Australia, as well as being eligible to enter the prize draw to win one of 18 prizes worth a total of $8000. Closing 14 Jan.

Grants and Funding Opportunities

AgUP Grants Program. 33% of the project budget or $350,000, whichever is the lesser amount to co-fund industry-led (agriculture, fisheries and forestry) initiatives aimed at supporting jobs and retaining the Australian workforce. Closing 20 Jan.  

Supporting Younger Veterans Grants. 2 streams, up to $50,000 and up to $150,000 for projects that deliver services and/or raise awareness of issues to build capacity in the younger veteran community. Closing 20 Jan.

Regional Arts WA – Regional Arts Fund: Cultural Tourism Accelerator Program. Up to $15,000 to enable arts organisations to promote and develop cultural events for tourists across regional Aust. Closing 23 Jan.

FRRR – Strengthening Rural Communities Program. Two funding streams up to $25,000 that aim to give small remote, rural and regional communities the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities. Closing 22 Feb.  

Australia Council for the Arts – Arts Projects (Organisations). $20 - $100,000 to fund a range of activities that deliver benefits to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences. Closing 1 Mar.  

COVID-19 Youth Recovery Grant. Up to $10,000 for LGs and community service organisations to implement projects that engage young people in creative ways and help to achieve positive outcomes. Opening 20 Jan & closing 18 Mar.
