Welcome to Spring, Friend!

A lot has happened over the past few months and this newsletter will bring you up to speed.

Vice President's Report

by Rhys McCormick, JAA Vice President

As the snow melts away for most of the country, the JAA Board of Directors has been hard at work making this organization run the best that it can. Kelsey Hendrix, our National Development Officer has done amazing work planning the JAA Social and other events happening at NATCON this year in Washington, D.C. Robyn Davis, our Public Affairs Officer, continues to produce these incredible newsletters. A special thanks to Shawn Anderson, Chief Financial Officer, for pushing through the IRS non-profit status process and Summer Folsom for coming back to the Board as the Tech Officer.

We want to know what direction you, the alumni, think the JAA should be heading down. I hope to see many of you in D.C. for NATCON so that we get a chance to talk about the future of the JAA. If you can’t make it out to NATCON, be sure to reach out to us via email or social media. We’re always looking for your input, so please don’t hesitate to contact us. You can find us on Facebook or you can email the entire JAA BoD at jaa-bod@googlegroups.com.

Financial Update

Information from Shawn Anderson, JAA CFO

The Joint Alumni Association (JAA) has committed to sponsoring two $250 scholarships at NATCON and making a substantial investment (approximately $1000) to host the annual JAA Social in collaboration with the Air Force Association.

As we focus on rebuilding our organization and increasing our future contributions in support of the current Silver Wings and Arnold Air Society student organizations, every donation improves the financial health of our organization (seriously... even $5, $10, or $25 makes a difference)!
