Sparkplug Essentials Part 2 - Architechture
Our second blog article in the Sparkplug Essentials series covers the basic architecture and main principles of Sparkplug. In a conventional IIoT architecture, applications receive data directly from PLCs, gateways, or servers. With a larger number of applications, this results in an architecture that is confusing and difficult to maintain. Therefore, reliable, secure, and predictable IIoT systems are needed that are adaptable, flexible, and easy to implement. This paradigm shift requires a new architecture, which is made possible via Sparkplug.
