The Word in the Woods / La Palabra en el Bosque

What is the relationship between history and documentary film and between academic authority and symbolic violence? Join us for a screening and discussion of the issues.

Co-directed by Prof. Jeffrey Gould (Professor of Central American history at Indiana University Bloomington), this documentary explore liberation theology and conflict in the department of Morazán, El Salvador, from the early 1970s through the country’s civil war, which cost an estimated 75,000 lives.
