The power of simple practices.
In these late days of Winter, feeling like my life is particularly layered and pressured, I keep returning to the most simple of practices. These practices feel like the antidote to the modern world ‘pressure cooker’. I was driving home from the grocery story this morning - feeling the day to day hustle of raising 2 young children, being passionate about my day job, and managing the business of yoga - practicing double-breathing (explained below) and I could feel some of the strain in my mind dissolve. These simple practices, that shift us towards the beauty of presence, are the practices I am so inspired by these days. I hope they may also support you in your unfolding.
In this newsletter you will also find more information about my upcoming fundraiser for the Howe Sound Women’s Centre Society on International Women’s day, coming up in less than a week, and my silent Spring retreat for women. Also, I have launched my new website, and I would love your feedback, on it and/or this newsletter www.andreasentesy.com. At the end of this newsletter I share a land acknowledgement I recently wrote in an Indigenous Allyship training. I strive to stand beside the First People of this land as an ally, with humility in my heart - and to serve in creating right-relationship.
I look forward to sharing space, and a simple smile or deep breath with you when our paths cross next.
May you all enjoy these brightening days,
PS - If you’re new to my newsletter, a reminder that: the intent of this newsletter is to share, from my heart, some yogic ponderings and practices that currently inspire and uplift me, as well as to keep you all in the loop on my upcoming yoga offerings (drop-in classes in Squamish, workshops and series in the Sea to Sky Corridor and retreat weekends). My intention is NOT to send you an email you are not interested in receiving - so, please click unsubscribe at the bottom of this email if that’s you and I will not take it personally. I will send no more than a handful a year ;)
