HOPE July 2016

No matter where you are or what you do, there are always a multitude of opportunities to be a blessing to others and change the world one heart at a time. As our Heartfelt Hope team continue to meet with people, hear their stories, journey alongside them, teach them, encourage them and support them, we are reminded how sometimes the small things in life can have a great impact.
In March last year, a devastating cyclone hit Vanuatu. One of the islands hardest hit was Tanna. This is a small island were we have been working for awhile. Just recently, we visited them again for the first time since the cyclone and it is obvious their need is still great. However, our small team experienced such an openness to the Word of God... everywhere we went, people responded. Our main focus was bringing the Gospel to remote mountain villages, working in the local high schools & encouraging local churches and God indeed blessed our work.

Our TRANSFORM short term mission trips are a great way to get involved, make a difference, get your hands dirty and bring hope to those who need it most. Our recent TRANSFORM trip to Tanna Vanuatu consisted of a team of 6 and we are planning to take a team of 8 to Uganda in August. We are also finalising our itinerary for another spiritual retreat and HOPE tour to Israel & Jordan in 2017. All TRANSFORM teams and HOPE tours are kept small and personal and the experience is life changing. Please contact us if you would like to be part for any of our teams
Hygiene Packs
A group of ladies in Canberra have been sewing hygiene packs for women and young girls in remote areas. Each material bag contains washable sanitary pads, soap, underwear and a washer. A suitcase full of these hygiene packs were taken over to Tanna and handed out to some ladies in small villages. The women really appreciated such a thoughtful, useful gift. More of these hygiene packs are being sewn and put together to take over to Uganda in August.
Whilst we can no longer offer tax deductability, due to Government changes applied to charities, all donations received go directly to the nominated projects within our partnering  communities. This year we have been able to support remote villages in Tanna with large amounts of rice, we have bought numerous Bibles for high school students, we have helped kick start some micro finance loans in Uganda, supported community projects and are looking at starting another medical clinic. Your support through prayers and donations are always appreciated. Thank you.
