Another wonderful series of Mindfulness Based Symptom Management Programs in September. We are so grateful for your participation and hope you are continuing to practice. Please stay in touch with the clinic activities so you can maintain your hard-earned gains.

This session also included a terrific group of military veterans and police officers in the Occupational Stress Injury (OSI) program. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to being well and continuing to serve with their talent and compassion.

Mindful Self-Compassion News

July 23-28, 2017: Join us for a 5-day intensive Mindful Self-Compassion retreat at the beautiful Galilee Retreat Centre in Arnprior ON. Registration opens DECEMBER 1, 2016 on the website here.

The Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic is now offering programs in Mindful Self-Compassion at the University of Toronto's Applied Mindfulness Meditation Certificate Program. Watch for our 2-day introduction module (November 2017) and 5-day sessions (May or June) in 2017 semesters.

Cultivating Ethics: Buddhist Teachings for Mindfulness Program Leaders. If you are interested in deepening your understanding of mindfulness, join Drs. Lynette Monteiro and Frank Musten at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies retreat on cultivating ethics and a values-based mindfulness (register here). This program is recommended for professionals interested in or currently teaching mindfulness approaches.

Cultivating Ethics in Mindfulness. Register for our course at the beautiful Barre Center for Buddhist Studies in April 27-30, 2017. There is also an all-day ethics workshop for healthcare professionals on April 27, 2017.

This training is suitable for health care professionals who want to use mindfulness approaches in their work and for their personal well-being.
