Meet The TLS Productions, Inc. Design Services Team
In a career spanning over three decades, Doyle Martin has seen the stage lighting industry come of age. He uses a cross discipline approach to stage lighting developed from both his degree in theatre from the University of Texas and his
practical experience. Designing lighting shows for the likes of Brooks & Dunn, The Moody Blues, George Strait, KISS,
Cheap Trick, Second City Players, The Beach Boys, and The Monkeys, he has had a career full of varied experiences.
In the realm of corporate theatre, sales meetings, and convention main tents, he has designed shows for American Airlines, Aphogee Hair Care, Computer Telephony, Coors Brewing, Dell Computer, EchoStar (Dish Network), E-Women, Forever Living Products, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, NCAA National Meeting, Novo Nordisk, Peter Lowe’s Success Seminars, Romance Writers of America, Tupperware, Wine & Spirits Wholesalers, Xerox, and many, many others.
He has designed and/or co-designed a number of live events for broadcast including ABC’s Champions of Magic from Monaco - Steve Wyrick’s Blades of Death Segment 1996, JC Penney’s National Hispanic Model Search Finals 1990 - 1996, Miss Texas America Pageant 1993 - 1998 and 2013 - 2014, Miss Texas USA Pageant 1999 - 2008, multiple press events for former U.S. Presidents including Clinton, Reagan, Ford and Carter, as well as handling all the lighting design needs for the 2002 United Nations Convention on Economic Development in Monterey, Mexico.
He has been no stranger to the trade show end of the business over the years - designing booth lighting for Raytheon Aircraft (Beechcraft), Electronic Arts, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Texas Instruments, and Tivoli Enterprises (IBM), just to name a few.
With all of this, plus an inordinate amount of special events, parties, charity galas, debutant balls and runway fashion shows, Doyle can give you the show that both you and your audience deserve to see.
Ryan graduated with a BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, and in 1987 began working at one of the big lighting companies in Los Angeles, thereafter touring with big name musical acts, learning the lighting business from the ground up, then designing and running major tours. Ryan
went freelance in 1998 and has been part of the design team, serving as Lighting Director for Neil Diamond’s World Tours
for 15 years.
When he was not on tour with Neil Diamond, Ryan would freelance for TLSP as a master electrician and lighting designer for the major auto shows in the U.S. In May of 2013, TLSP hired Ryan on as a full time designer.
Robert has been immersed in the technological revolution of lighting and its new ideas and innovations, and has utilized these to design one of a kind lighting environments. Between his real world experience and a degree in lighting design from Oakland University, Robert is capable of developing sharp
and concise designs that can transform even the smallest space. Living in the heart of Detroit, he draws inspiration
from his local surroundings and art.
At the age of 26, Robert has designed for companies such as Lexus, Allstate, JDRF, Faurecia, and Ford Motor Company, and is the current designer for the Detroit City Dance Festival, which debuted in the summer of 2013. Robert has also designed for Detroit-based, Dub Down, an electronic music company which produces new and cutting-edge shows in small spaces. During his education, Robert designed for numerous musicals such as Little Women, Falsettos Honk!, and The Cripple of Ishmaan, and has also designed for Oakland University’s Dance Department, as well as the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble.
Robert keeps up with the newest technologies the market has to offer, but isn’t afraid to throw it back to an old-school trick that still works; between large-scale shows to intimate gatherings, he provides nothing short of creating a visual world that will set the stage for you.
