I certainly hope that all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day holiday, and had ample time for fellowship with friends and family along the way.  With this holiday begins the season of parties and trade shows.  I know we here at TLSP are already into the Detroit Auto show load in, as well as working on projects for CES and gearing up for the holiday party season.  
 
After the Paris attacks - and the general state of our world today - I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to stay vigilant and safe.  We now know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that those in this world who seek to harm innocents are no longer concentrating on large venues or government related "high value" targets.  With this in mind, I believe it is incumbent upon those of us in our industry, to stay attentive and try to be prepared should something happen.
 
First and foremost, don't try to be a hero.  Get yourself - and as many people as you can, out of the venue as quickly as possible.  Any time you enter a new site (or even one you are relatively familiar with) you should always make sure you know where there are at least two exits.  Should you find yourself in a dangerous situation, knowing where these exits are can save your life.
 
It pains me deeply that those of us who work in an industry where bringing joy and entertainment to people is our primary focus are forced to think about this kind of thing.  However, this is the world we live in, and this is the reality we must face. 
So, to everyone out there, be aware, stay safe, and most of all enjoy yourself and have fun!  By continuing to live our lives in the open and without fear, we will eventually win this battle against those who seek to destroy our way of life.
