Kia ora koutou,

Te rā o Waitangi carries many meanings to different people. We hope that despite the significant rain and wild weather over the long weekend you enjoyed special time with your whānau.

And what a day to be a Kiwi as Zoi Sadowski Synnotts won the first Winter Olympic medal for New Zealand on Waitangi Day. 🎉 🎉

At the heart of Taranaki Foundation is partnership and it is fitting that our focus for this our first newsletter for 2022 is a celebration of the strength of our relationships, our connections, and the partnerships we are building together to deliver our vision.

Some of our Taranaki Foundation donors have chosen to make provision for scholarships through the Taranaki Foundation. Congratulations to Sam Harvie, the most recent recipient of the Ohangi Centennial Teaching Scholarship from the Winifred Knight Trust and to Madeline Pick and Noah Fortuin who were the first recipients of the Rudi Milesi Scholarship. Applications are also currently open for the Cliff Perrett Memorial Trust Nursing Scholarships.

Taranaki Foundation is proud to partner with NP Partners/NPDC. NP Partners is a programme of partners committed to investing in the growth and development of Ngamoutu, our city and district of New Plymouth, leading to greater impacts. Partnering to inspire community giving and impact in our district and region.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Foundation. We look forward to connecting with you throughout 2022, in the meantime please do get in touch with us to explore how we can work together to ensure a thriving Taranaki now and for generations to come.
