I sat and watched a spider spin this web outside my window yesterday. What an arduous endeavor - the continual dropping down and gliding back up followed by round and round and round again motion. Whether you are a fan of spiders or not,
you have to admire their handiwork. It's magical to me that their silk endures the elements (and conducts energy)
and that even if a web is destroyed, its creator
will start anew with the same precision and gusto.
Thank you, spider, for the privilege of watching you work
and for reminding me that when we do what we know -
without second guessing the outcome - the results can be breathtakingly beautiful. And a wonder to behold.
