The blind leading the walking dead. Have Beto run for the top slot and keep Biden riding the Amtrak train loop. This way the snowflakes get their rock star and the old VP can return to his former job so he can avoid a learning curve that would confuse him.

 Team Buffoon: Beto/Biden

Beto's Pose As A Benign Hipster In An Empty Suit Is Covering Up Something Worse

If Obama represented a transformation that seemed credible, to some, in 2008, Beto O’Rourke represents that same kind of transformation for people who, a decade later, haven’t learned the most basic lesson of the American political nightmare: This is a street fight, the other side is the enemy, and if we keep losing, the penalty is poverty and sickness and death for more and more people, and, oh yeah, the environmental destruction of the planet. There is no space for a fool like Beto O’Rourke in the post-Trump era, because Beto O’Rourke, despite all his charismatic gifts, is a man who centers his political life around himself rather than the people. His book shelves are lined with the biographies of former presidents in what amounts to a paean to his own ambition, and in closing that Vanity Fair piece, he said something telling:

He’s good enough at what he does that he’s going to make other people believe that, too-- the most gullible, the most naive, the most vapid. Let’s return to a key word: The premise of his campaign is the premise of transcendence. He’s the comic book hero that many liberals have been waiting for, the man who will return us to the golden days of Obama and erase the nightmare that was Trump. He’s the savior, and because he’s the savior, he only asks for our most superficial support. He doesn’t need a grassroots movement that extends beyond the ballot box, he doesn’t need a political revolution at his back, and he doesn’t need to be anything more than a viral superstar who captures our hearts for the duration of the campaign season.
Asked in Dubuque how Democratic candidates could “stay together … instead of attacking each other,” O’Rourke went directly — and unprompted — to Biden.

“We were at a meeting earlier today in Independence, Iowa, and someone stood up and they said, ‘I sure hope Vice President Biden doesn’t get in the race,’” O’Rourke recalled.

“And this was a point on which I and the person who made the statement disagree,” he said. “I think we’d be very lucky to have Vice President Biden in this race. I think he has a lot of perspective and experience to bring to bear.”

Beto The Buffoon

As a presidential candidate, Beto will have plenty of explaining to do. First, he has to convince voters he has learned from his drunk driving arrest on his 26th birthday. While he claims he only had two beers,The Washington Postnoted his “blood alcohol content of 0.136 and 0.134,” indicated he consumed a much greater amount of alcohol. He will also need to explain why he supports the Green New Deal, the $93 trillion joke of a proposal that President Trump accurately referred to as a “high school term paper that got a low mark.”

Further clarity is also needed about Beto’s stance on the U.S. Constitution. Incredibly, he stated that he has doubts about the relevancy of the U.S. Constitution. In an interview with The Washington Post, O’Rourke questioned whether the United States can “still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230 plus years ago?”

Beto O’Rourke’s presidential candidacy is the ultimate expression of the participation trophy culture on the left. It used to be you had to win on the state level before taking the national stage. Barack Obama won a Senate seat from Illinois before immediately declaring his intention to run for president. At the time, that was considered pretty audacious. He hadn’t accomplished anything in the Senate before he decided on a presidential run. But at least he won. O’Rourke lost his race to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) last year. He got a participation trophy. Apparently, he thinks that qualifies him to be the leader of the free world.

Well, he must have some accomplishments other than almost winning a Senate seat, right? Not really. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was flummoxed when asked what O’Rourke had accomplished in Congress, saying he “brought a great deal of vitality” to his work “preserving our planet and protecting our people.” (In fact, O’Rourke passed a single bill, H.R. 5873, which renamed a courthouse in his hometown of El Paso.) Texas Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa was questioned by Ed Henry on Fox News, “What would you say is Beto O’Rourke’s top accomplishment that he brings to the table?” Hinojosa could not name a single one. “I’m not even talking about Congress,” Henry said. “What has he done in his life?” “Your question is meaningless,” Hinojosa replied.
In direct contrast to Donald Trump’s upbeat winning 2016 slogan of ‘Make America Great Again’, O’Rourke thinks he can win in 2020 by telling 320 million Americans they’re all doomed.

‘We face catastrophe and crisis on this planet,’ he declared, asserting that climate change will unleash ‘massive migration of tens or hundreds of millions of people from countries that are literally uninhabitable or under water.’

He’s not even promising to stop it.

‘Life is going to be a lot tougher for the generations that follow us,’ he said, ‘no matter what we do.’

Collapse of Society Almost Complete

The experiences from South America provide lessons totally applicable to the United States. If you think that the bread lines in Venezuela cannot come to our country, take a look at what is happening in the rest of Latin America. While economic failures contribute to the slide in prosperity and government expansion adds to greater indebtedness, the complicity of their citizens provides the environment for even bigger demands. Daniel J. Mitchell is a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute writes in Brazil, Big Government and Mitchell’s Theorem of Societal Collapse. His summary is accurate and precise.

Dumb as Dirt - the mindset of the collectivists

Despotism is not solely the purview of the state. When individuals or groups demonstrate their propensity to use savage force to inflict their world view on others, decent society is at risk. The “Black Lives Matter” thugs who have shown their disregard for civilized acculturation are a prime example of the defective thinking that permeates their shallow and twisted minds. Absent in their pomposity is any moral claim for their warped cause that advocates violence and murder. Genetic traits are supposed to be taboo for discussion, but when certain elements of sociopathic conduct is evident in brutal behavior, sane people have to ask if deplorable cultural norms are not the only factors that breed disturbed motives for initiating a race war.

Facing China’s irresistible rise all across the chessboard, and under relentless US pressure, the not exactly democratic EU leadership is on a backbreaking exercise to position itself between a geopolitical/geoeconomic rock and a hard place. The 28-member EU holds a crucial meeting next week in Brussels where it may adopt a 10-point action plan detailing, […]

Under the directorship of torture and black site maven Gina Haspel, Donald Trump’s Central Intelligence Agency has returned to its traditional roots of conducting “black bag” operations and disrupting electrical grids through cyber-attacks. The Venezuelan government has accused the Trump administration of giving the green light for a series of crippling power failures in Venezuela, […]

When many of our leaders are actively working toward open borders and the end of the American republic, where does your faith in your country take you now? The decision of most poor people is to go along with the crowd and accept whatever benefits are offered. This choice totally ignores the long range planning […]

A massive coalition of environmental organizations, activists, and think-tank leaders signed a letter to President Donald Trump supporting the proposed Presidential Commission on Climate Security (PCCS), as well as the work of Trump climate and national security adviser Dr. William Happer of Princeton University. The campaign, which comes amid fierce establishment resistance to re-examining government “climate science,” also […]

“I’m delighted to be joining Fox News. I know I’m going to get criticized from my friends in the progressive movement for being on Fox News. My response is that, if we’ve learned anything from the 2016 election, it is that we can’t have a country where we don’t talk to those who disagree with our political views,” Brazile said in a statement. “There’s an audience on Fox News that doesn’t hear enough from Democrats. We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our ‘safe spaces’ where we simply agree with each other. For there is no safety in self-limiting numbers. You can be darn sure that I’m still going to be me on Fox News.”

In October 2016, Brazile was forced to resign from her role as a CNN contributor amid reports she leaked questions to then-Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign ahead of a CNN debate and CNN town hall.

CNN said in a statement that it was “completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor.”

This exchange from Vanity Fair: “Henry, age eight, weighs in from the back of the Toyota Tundra. ‘Dad, if you run for president, I’m going to cry all day.’ ‘Just the one day?’ asks O’Rourke, hopefully. ‘Every day,’ says Henry.” In that same article, O’Rourke said he was “just born to be in” the 2020 presidential race.

Don’t accept the rules for how to criticize the Israel lobby

A maddening element of the Ilhan Omar controversy is all the experts offering instruction on The right way and the wrong way to criticize the Israel lobby. Why must someone who sees a dreadful faction working to skew US policy-making walk on eggshells when attacking it? Do the Parkland students hold back about their target lobby? Do advocates for abortion rights issue rules of rhetorical niceness when they see the enemy gathering across the Supreme Court plaza?
