Introduction to Relief Printmaking: “Linocut Prints” Linoleum was a 20th-century development in the art of Relief Printmaking and is used far more than any other material today to create relief printing blocks. In this technique the design to be printed is cut in the same manner as a woodcut. It has many advantages: it is softer than wood to cut, also has no grain or direction, and it is robust enough to allow many hundreds of prints to be taken before it wears down.

Sarofsky Labs Weekend Workshop #1: Designing for Motion - 8:00 AM
One of the things we do daily at Sarofsky is communicate to clients to help them visualize an idea so they better understand what something is going to be like without us actually doing it. Sometimes we communicate via style frames, sometimes motion boards and sometimes motion tests. In this workshop we will provide a creative brief similar to an actual job we have produced. Each of the participants will be given the opportunity to develop a pitch for how they would bring their idea to life. In the end, you will have created a presentation with one or many solutions to the creative brief. Designing for motion is for any designer or artist who is curious about how to start bringing their work to life in motion.
