The Wandering Gourmet family welcomes Robert Tenuta. Robert is our culinary administrator, and our baking and dessert expert! He is the one responsible for the delicious desserts and baked goods our clients have been receiving over the past 4 months.
Robert has been in the culinary industry for over 30 years. He has had an interest in food since his teenage years when he started working at his uncle’s pizza place. His formal culinary training is from Oakland Community College. What he loves most about working in the culinary field is the creativity associated with it.
Robert’s culinary background includes working in restaurants, small and large bakeries, purchasing for a large food distributor, and as a food broker. He is a true asset to our team since not only does he know how to cook, but he can pass his experience to our staff, assist in customer service and organize our ingredient procurement. We are delighted to have Robert as a part of our team!
Although Robert loves to both cook and bake, baking is his true calling in the kitchen. He enjoys working at the Wandering Gourmet because every day is different and there is never a dull moment. Outside of work Robert enjoys gardening and golfing. He is an avid reader and Netflix fan. He spends as much time as he can with his wife of 34 years and 2 grand-children. He is also a father of eight!
