"The Courage to Love" Original Acrylic Painting by Artist Trudy Babchak, $500 (TWB-92). To learn more CLICK HERE

Dear Friends,
Hooray! I am thrilled to welcome you to our new Art Show “Magical Moments” - opening this weekend. This show will allow your imagination to soar as you view original creations by four of the Gallery's artists.

  • Trudy Babchak: Trudy uses bright colors and negative space to create images that dance, play, and hold hands through dreamscapes of warm orange, pastel pink, and other tones. Every canvas is meant to impart a feeling of openness and especially transformation. She is delighted when the viewer creates their own stories and relates her work to their own lives.
  • Geraldine Butler: Enamored by the color combinations and patterns she finds in nature, Geraldine creates compositions which are completely imaginary. Her work is a vehicle through which she responds to her environment, both objectively and emotionally. “It’s this personal connection to my work that then allows me to connect with others through my paintings.”
  • Nancy Ennis: Designing and creating jewelry is Nancy’s passion and joy! She uses many techniques in her art including bead-weaving, wire-wrapping, and metal-smithing. You are as likely to see her working with a needle and thread as you are to find her with a hammer and torch. Her expert hands magically move to create one-of-a-kind pieces just for you.
  • April Rimpo: April tells stories in her landscapes, urban scenes, and paintings of people doing everyday things. She loves to evoke a memory or an emotion in the viewer, drawing them deeper into her work to explore their feelings. Watercolor and fluid acrylic flow in unpredictable ways that allow her pieces to develop naturally and evoke her inner passion.
Please join us this Sunday, June 26th, 1-4pm for the show’s Opening Reception. We will enthusiastically serve you festive beverages, sodas and water, as well as non-nutritious food groups – including chocolate. Our art show runs through July 24th. For “sneak peek” and first dibs on the artwork, come this Friday or Saturday. The show promises to be magical!

On Sunday, July 10th, 1-4pm, please join us as Alison creates one of her beautiful paintings! "In nature, the sounds, light, and movement excite me... I know I’m witnessing a passing moment. When the light changes, that's the end of it, so I have to act quickly." ~ Alison Leigh Menke, Plein Air Magazine, January 2020

Alison's love of outdoor paintings shines through in her work. Painting Plein air painting allows Alison to be in the moment translating the natural light and weather on to the surface of her landscape paintings. Not only are her paintings a captured moment, but a map of her adventures as a plein air artist on the road.

So, mark your calendar for July 10th to come meet Alison! She looks forward to your questions about her painting, inspiration and her process, so be curious!
