Cheer up your February with the Lin/Valchinov Duo!

Brockton Symphony presents our latest concert in Music Matters, our FREE year-long series of online performances. Our Holiday Pops concertmaster, Angel Valchinov, violin, teams up with his wife, Chen Lin, on viola and piano -- the Lin/Valchinov Duo.

February 6th - Lin/Valchinov Duo

The Lin/Valchinov Duo is in demand as one of the superlative duos in the Boston area. With performances in top venues, varied repertoire, and strong reviews, the Duo is forging a path of creativity and singularity. The Duo's repertoire ranges from Bach to Hindemith and includes such rarities as Duo No. 2 by Bohuslav Martinu. Having Doctorates in Musical Arts, in addition to being married, Ms. Lin, viola, and Mr. Valchinov, violin, are recognized performers and teachers in the Boston area. Individually they have performed solos and in ensembles in halls such as Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, and Jordan Hall.

  Mozart: Duo No. 2 in B-flat major for Violin and Viola 
  Handel-Halvorsen: Passacaglia for Violin and Viola
  Bartók: Duets for Violin and Viola
  Dvořák: Four Romantic Pieces for Violin and Piano
  Bartók: Six Romanian Dances for Violin and Piano
