Early Learning Centre
The families of our Early Learning Centre at Bethlehem Place have been busy this summer participating in fun-filled activities for all ages. They visited Fire Station 1 on Niagara Street, had a picnic at Happy Rolph’s, learned how to make ice cream at the Dairy Queen on Merritt Street, participated in outdoor activities at Heartland Forest, and much more!
The ELC provides education in effective parenting skills, resource materials, and opportunities for interactive play activities that promote the healthy development of children.
View all photos of the families enjoying their weekly excursions throughout the summer on our Facebook page here.
Become a Housing Hero!
YOU CAN BE SOMEONE'S HERO! Join the movement to transition our families from homeless to home by becoming a HOUSING HERO – no cape required!
You can be a Housing Hero in your community! Here’s why….
There are over 4,600 households on the Niagara Region Housing waitlist.
43% of renter households spend more than 30% of their income on housing and 18% spend more than 50% of income on housing – these households are at risk of becoming homeless.
Point in Time count found that there are approximately 444 individuals living in temporary sheltered housing in the Niagara Region on any given night. This crisis has a deep impact on the economic and social health of our community.
When you become a Housing Hero, your story is where their success stories get started.

Host a DIY Fundraiser
Planning an event is another way to show your support of our organization – and can be a lot of fun!
A third party fundraising event is organized and managed by people other than Bethlehem staff and funds raised benefit the work of Bethlehem. Some of these events include golf tournaments, bakes sales, car washes, BBQs, garage sales, and much more!

Garden City Food Co-op will be a grocery store located in downtown St. Catharines filled with fresh, locally produced and fairly priced foods directly from local farms. Working together, Garden City Food Co-op and Bethlehem Housing created the “Sponsor a Member” campaign, where they managed to receive 12 sponsored memberships for residents of Genesis Court. Through these sponsored memberships, residents will have easy access to fresh and locally produced food. They will also be supporting Niagara producers, local employment, family farms, community development and community connections.
Follow us on social media for more up-to-date and timely communications!
